CIRCUS ARTIST
Izzi Kessner (he/they) is a multidisciplinary circus artist originally from Los Angeles and graduate of the Quebec Circus School, where he specialized in aerial rope. He is an aerialist and acrobat, enjoying hanging off of things, balancing on people, and finding interesting body-pathways on the floor.

Izzi is interested in circus as a medium for collaborative practice, dramaturgical meaning-making, and collective humanity.

His professional work includes collaborations with companies such as The 7 Fingers/Virgin Voyages, partnerships with major brands such as Nike, and his current role as an ensemble member of CIRCA.

Izzi is passionate about circus as a performer, researcher, and educator. They worked with HUPR (a circus research institution connected to the National Circus School in Montreal) on two projects: on chest binding in circus and on gender biases in circus, and connected to the show N.Ormes by Agathe and Adrien. In February 2024, Izzi traveled to Bogotá to present their research at the Circus and Its Others conference.
